Thinner fabric than expected
I wanted to line a transitional fall coat with this flannel backed satin because the outer fabric was thin. However, after receiving this fabric in the mail, I wondered if I should bother lining a fall coat with this lining because it is really thin. I can see the lightbulb in my ceiling when I hold the fabric up to the light. The flannel on the back side of the fabric feels really thin and flimsy. The fabric is soft on both sides. The satin side is a midnight blue colour while the flannel side is a navy blue colour (lighter shade). The thinness would be more appropriate for a light to mediumweight jacket (ex. bomber jacket or blazer) that you are trying to winterize. But even then I would not buy this lining again because it doesn't look or feel durable.
