Give a majestic ambience to your bedroom by accentuating your night tables and bed with elegant baroque-inspired columns.
What you'll need :
• 2 x 2.5 meters of Nu-Foam poly fill 24’’ wide (61 cm) and 1’’ thick (2.5 cm)• 2 x MDF panel 84x20’’ (213.x 50.8cm)• Scissors• Stapler• 2 x 2.5 meters of poly fill such as Codelle nº Z059• 2 x 2.5 meters of fabric Tiffany plum nº 2113 57’’ wide (144.8)• 2 x copper color decorative ribbons 6mm wide• Flat nails• Hammer• Buttons nº 203914A• Hot glue gun• Silicone glue or self-adhesive velcro
STEP 1 :
Cut the Nu-Foam poly fill following the dimensions of the MDF panel; make sure to add 2” all around to cover the edges of the panel. Fold over the excess poly fill behind the panel and staple it while making sure it is nice and taut. Repeat this step with the Codelle-type poly fill.
STEP 2 :
Cut the fabric following the dimensions of the upholstered MDF panel; make sure to add 3’’ (7.6cm) all around to cover the edges of the panel.
STEP 3 :
Cut 6 pieces of decorative ribbon, each 30’’ (76.2cm) long. Starting from the top of the column, create an “X” of 17’’ high using two pieces, and staple the ends of the ribbons behind the panel. Place the other ribbons following the same instructions.
STEP 4 :
Place a flat nail, using the hammer, at the center of the "X’s" (where the ribbons cross). Using the hot glue gun, affix the buttons over each nail. You can install the panel to the wall using the silicone glue or self-adhesive Velcro.
STEP 5 :
Repeat these steps to create the second column.
